Dr. Brian Carr is an orthopedic surgeon and former military doctor who founded Las Vegas Concierge Orthopedics, where he treats patients from Southern Nevada, as well as all over the United States and even Canada.
He received his medical degree from the Uniformed Services University in Bethesda, Maryland, and then completed his orthopedic residency with William Beaumont Army Medical Center and Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in El Paso, Texas. Dr. Carr spent 18 years in the army during and after his medical training. He retired from the army as a lieutenant colonel.
In 2010, he deployed to Iraq with the 28th Combat Support Hospital at the time of the transition from Operation Iraqi Freedom to Operation Enduring Freedom. For this assignment, he was recognized for his service in treating injured service members. He has board certification, and his latest affiliations include Department Chief of Orthopedics at Southern Hills Hospital, as well as Staff Surgeon at Henderson Hospital. Dr. Carr is trained in Total Joint Replacement as well as robotic assisted surgery with a focus on same-day or outpatient joint replacement. He has extensive experience in sports medicine and trauma.
Dr. Carr believes that patient satisfaction is the most important aspect of patient care. Patients deserve top-notch care and advanced treatments, as well as respect and compassion.
Laura Taylor is a Physician Assistant with Las Vegas Concierge Orthopedics. In her role as a provider, Laura is in charge of conducting physical exams, diagnosing and treating patient issues, ordering and interpreting lab tests, developing and monitoring treatment plans, as well as prescribing medications. Laura also assists Dr. Carr in surgery and monitors post-operative patients.
Laura graduated from the University of Kansas with an Exercise Science major and Psychology minor in 2018. She completed her Master of Physician Assistant Studies at High Point University in North Carolina in 2022.
A native of Portland, Oregon, Laura excelled in collegiate sports. In 2018, she was the Big 12 Conference Indoor Champion in the Women’s Pole Vault which earned her a Big 12 Sportsperson of the Year nomination and the Gerald Lage Academic Achievement Award, the Big 12 Conference’s highest academic honor. She was also a NCAA Woman of the Year nominee in 2019.
Laura enjoys living an active lifestyle, filled with sports and outdoor activities, which include golf, pickleball, tennis, hiking, and running. She also enjoys digital marketing and content creation.
Madison Burris is the Front Office Medical Assistant and Patient Coordinator for Las Vegas Concierge Orthopedics. In her role, Madison tends to patients calling into the practice, checks them in and out of their appointments, writes diagnostic orders, keeps medical records up to date and completes FMLA and disability paperwork.
Before joining Las Vegas Concierge Orthopedics, Madison served as a Client Care Specialist at Fyzical Therapy and Balance Center and a receptionist at Knee and Shoulder Institute.
Madison is proud to be born and raised in Las Vegas, as well as a Bonanza High School graduate. When she’s not working, she enjoys traveling, dancing, listening to all genres of music (no matter what the decade!), as well as true crime podcasts. On weekends you can find her looking for the best deals on furniture at local thrift shops to fix up for her new home, or spending time with her two dogs, Benji and Zylo.
Marissa Chesebro is a Clinical and Surgical Assistant with Las Vegas Concierge Orthopedics. In her role, Marissa is in charge of scheduling surgeries, after care visits which includes follow up phone calls with the patients, placing casts and splints on the patients, securing authorizations from insurance companies and submitting hospital orders. She is also a Certified Surgical Technologist and assists Dr. Carr in surgery.
Marissa is also a certified X-ray Technician, in charge of taking all the X-rays at the practice, as well as managing the logistics of the clinic on a day-to-day basis. She is a Las Vegas native and Shadow Ridge High School graduate. She received her Medical Assistant Certification from Platt College in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and her Technologist Certification from Nevada Career Institute here in Las Vegas.
Prior to joining Dr. Carr’s team in 2018, Marissa worked as a Certified Surgical Technologist at the Surgical Arts Center and was an intern at the Veterans’ Affairs Hospital, both here in Las Vegas. Marissa is part of the AST Organization for Surgical Technology and assisted with the United Blood Services during the One October Shooting at the Mandalay Bay in 2017.
When she’s not working, Marissa enjoys spending time with her family. She has a special interest in the paranormal and occult oddities, she used to assist on ghost tours at the Pioneer Saloon in 2020. Her hobbies include painting/art, wood working, playing piano, video games, water sports, such as wakeboarding and DIY home projects, as well as baking.
